A little 'bout me

Congratulations, you've decided to venture into the mind of Chris -- probably not one of the smartest things you've ever done. I'll spare you the pain of knowing all the details, so here are some of the major highlights.

The basics:

I live in Woodridge, IL.
I graduated from Peoria Notre Dame High School and Illinois State University
I have a degree in Marketing with a minor in Informations Systems, Information Specialist sequence
The Green Bay Packers are the best team in football.
I like to write, program Internet sites, rollerblade, fish, go camping, and play golf.

About my work:

I now work for Ace Hardware's Corporate Office in Oak Brook, Ill., programing the Intranet sites.

While in college I worked for the Daily Vidette. I started out as a news reporter. I then became a columnist for 3 semester and was the Internet Vidette editor for over a year. I then worked as a Resident Assistant in Watterson Towers. I did consulting work for corporations -- I specialized in web page layouts and design. Next I worked at the web master for ISU's Office of Student Life

My passions

I love the outdoors. The best trip I have ever been on was a three day backpacking trip through the Porcupine Mountains in the UP of Michigan. Even though the trip was several years ago, I still remember sitting on a small peninsula, with my feet dangling in the 50 degree water, and watching the sun paint the sky a brilliant red and gold as it disappeared behind the horizon of water.

My idea of a perfect day is sitting outside, reading a good book, and listening to some music. I like the thought of the "virtual office" I would love to be a writer for a company where I could conduct business anywhere I want via my virtual office. I doubt that will ever happen, but hey, I can dream can't I?
